The Street Lawyer by John Grisham

I have not read any book for quite a while, especially reading a book that has nothing to do with spiritual guidance. "The Street Lawyer" was bundled with the other three in SelectEditions by Reader's Digest, Volume 4, 1998.  Not sure how the book ended up on my bookshelf.

Normally I do not like to read any critic or short summary from anywhere or even the prologue added to the beginning of the book. I happened to read this one.

"Is Michael Brock cracking up? He thought he knew what he wanted; the elegant suites, the luxury car, the beautiful wife, the million-dollar partnership. But now it seems Michael's priorities have changed. He no longer wants to practice law for the money. He wants to do it for his soul."

And I felt a little less excitement because i kind of knew how the story would develop after reading the paragraph above before the first chapter.

Anyway, the book kept me engaged and made me wonder about the homeless in real life.
If homelessness is the way of life of the homeless, then, do they want to actually settle in one place?  I guess for some with little kids, then, might be yes.  Anyway, I will stop thinking about it for now.

Even not a spiritual book, it did send messages with high spirit to the reader like me. The same amount of money can be nothing for some but can also be the life saver for the others. How much do I need and how much I should learn to give up or give away?

My next book will be "Message in a Bottle" by Nicholas Sparks.
